Got myself a new camera!
Now it's nothing fancy, it's small canon powershot A1200. In other words, a cheap 50€ camera.
If you're considering getting a cheap camera i would advise this one, it's decent quality (although pictures can be a little grainy at times), it's got nice extra little features that can be fun (fisheye, boost colours, posterize, sepia, blue, black/white shots...) really small and affordable.

Now why did i get this when i have a good camera (550D) i can use?
Because this pricey camera belongs to my mum and I'm not comfortable running around shooting random things with such an amount of money in my hands.

I got this camera to build up reference pictures and textures to use in digital painting.

This is the first time I broke the rule of not re touching me pictures in photoshop. I used a picture of a brown canvas type material as texture and darkened the edges to give it more teeth. It's also an easy to get used to photoshop before jumping into painting.
